Advertiser disclosure

How the site is funded

Land of Maps is free to read and is funded by advertising. Ads are served by Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service. We do not sell sponsored posts and we do not accept payment to feature, rank or review a map.

Editorial independence

Advertisers cannot influence what we publish. Map selection, writing and corrections are decided by the editorial team under the standards in our editorial policy. Advertising is always visually separate from editorial content and is never presented as part of a guide.

Cookies and personalised ads

Google and its partners use cookies to serve and measure ads. Details of what is collected, and how to opt out of personalised advertising, are in our privacy policy. You can also read how Google uses cookies in advertising.
